Physical Description: James is tall, and slender, with black hair and hazel eyes which he needs glasses for. His hair is always in a general disarray, and he aims to keep it that way – he has been known for running his fingers through it in order to have it keep its windswept appearance. He's often grinning, a cheeky grin that covers most of his face, and he thinks fairly highly of himself so his shoulders are usually up, and chest out. When in his animagus form, he takes on the form of a large buck, with large antlers and a tan hide.
Personality: James is an arrogant fool, who is prone to moments of intense devotion and love to the people he cares about. he tends to jump head first into situations and think about the consequences of his actions later. He's fairly easy to be around, and has a wicked sense of humour. Since he doesn't always think things all the way through, he tended to get into a great deal of trouble as a child, as he would often play pranks and not really think about how they were affecting others. If he got into trouble over those, he often was more upset about the trouble it caused him than the effect that it had had, and thus appeared to be somewhat cruel in his actions, but this wasn't always the case.
In addition to that, James is quite an intelligent - and often curious - individual who enjoys learning, but has little patience for things that don't interest him, or involve a great deal of work on his part. He's a tad lazy.
Skills: James picks up on things very quickly, and is an intelligent individual. He is also a skilled Quidditch player, who played the position of Chaser while in school. In addition to that, he is also an animagus, and while in that form gains the strength of a buck - enough, it is said, to fight off werewolves and be resilient to their poison.
Weak points: James can sometimes take things too personally. He wears his emotions on his sleeve, and sometimes they get the better of him. He's a look before you leap type of person, and so when he feels something, he feels it completely and there's little that can be said to dissuade him of that. He's very prone to jealousy. At the same time, he can be quite a caring individual, and he's utterly devoted to friends and family. In addition to that, his arrogance often gets the best of him at times, and he can bite off more than he can chew, and will never admit it.
Family: His parents are both deceased – were old even by wizarding standards and passed away from an illness in his final years at Hogwarts.
Friends: Sirius Black, Remus Lupin and Peter Pettigrew are part of his merry little clan and are generally his friends of choice. When he's not hanging out with his girlfriend, that is, the lovely Lily Evans.
Brief Background: James grew up wuth parents who were old, even by wizarding standards, and so was spoiled rotten. James always believed himself to be worth every indulgence they gave him and thought himself top dog at school. He immediately gravitated to Sirius Black, who was from a similar situation and thought highly of himself as well. Together, they caused chaos in the school with their pranks and tricks on the fellow students. But in spite of that, they were well liked because of their charm, and brains. The pair also made friends Remus and Peter. Upon discovery of Remus' wolfness, he and his mates became animagi, granting themselves the ability to change into animals at will.
James has always had a vested interest in Lily Evans, perhaps because of her lack of interest in him; he had never had a girl refuse him before, so he made it his goal to pursue her, in the end, dulling down some of his boyish ways and becoming a more settled individual than he once was.
